Community and Technical Colleges
Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) has 7 campuses that serve a 15 county region. The Dalton campus is specifically oriented towards advanced manufacturing. As a testament to that, the school eliminated their cosmetology program to provide more room and resources to teach skills in mechatronics, welding, chemical technology, industrial systems, hydraulics and more. GNTC has just broken ground on an 85,000 sq. ft. addition to their campus to hold more lab space and classrooms.
